Tangerine Sunset

36” x 36”- Acrylic and Mixed Media

A contemplative piece with many of the elements- the girl, the deer, the stream- all having a dialogue together and apart in the painting. Originally this painting was titled, “Pastoral Monologues”, until I collaborated with the writer, Peg Hanna, for a multi-discipline exhibit we were in together. She wrote a reflection on the painting and I, in turn, embedded some of her words back into my painting. I even added a bunny into the painting because she had written about one in her writing.
